Galterö, July 18, 2003

This was my first visit ever to Galterö. The picture above is anticipatory: taken from Brännö across the narrow sound, which you cross by the semi-artificial spit of sand at the left edge of the frame. That day I found a small stand of Thalictrum minus ssp. arenarium, Lesser Meadowrue.

At the time I was winding down the S-weed diary, and had not yet figured out how I wanted to continue - just gave a hint of my Summer Islanding.

So far these are the taxa that happen to be illustrated with material from Galterö:

Plantago coronopus (with some seascape)
Hydrocotyle vulgaris (just the scans)
Thalictrum minus ssp. arenarium
Selaginella selaginoides
Lycopodium clavatum (with a panorama)
Botrychium lunaria
Rubus rosanthus
Carlina vulgaris
Salicornia europaea (with pix of the water meadows at Galterö sund, flooded and unflooded).
Leymus arenarius and Ammophila arenaria
