Galterö, July 15, 2004

This day Erik and I did a full day out on Galterö and some adjacent islands. I refrained from crossing to Östra Rönneskär in Erik's inflatable dinghy, and so missed the rich locality for Dotted Sedge. But we admired the Selaginella selaginoides, Erik found Rubus rosanthus - I will be putting up more of what we saw that day - like the Marsh Helleborine, Buckthorn and the False Fox-sedge. The little Sea Pearlwort, however, was too difficult to catch with the camera. The picture below is taken from Stora Stårholmen back towards Galterö. We crossed by the discontinuous weir, which, this windy day, proved quite adventurous on the way back. The photographer was too involved to document that part of the hike.
