The Southern archipelago of Göteborg

Some pictures from 2003 to 2005, mostly with my first digital camera. This part of the site is more or less a finished project, but I have a set of 60 of the landscape shots from the southern archipelago that I like best at Flickr (do take a look at the slideshow!).

A view from the water - back towards home!

This view across the water may stand as another sign of the 2004 evolution of the site from a weed diary close to home into "Eva's complete flora": the last few summers I have started really using the marvellous facility we have here in Göteborg, to get out into the Southern Archipelago for the price of a tram ticket. Walking, botanizing, taking pictures. Getting back home pleasantly exhausted. The picture above is from July 2002, from the deck of the passenger ferry. The tall white building is Frölunda Hospital at the Mall - a few meters outside the boundary of the S-weed territory: that's how close we are to the sea. Then, it's another matter to get the bus and tram changes to fit with the ferry...

It all deserves a fuller presentation. In part this will fit into the additions I'm making to my vascular-plant-web this winter.

I prefer the least inhabited parts: Vargö or Galterö, so that's the end I'll start.
