At last! I have seen the mudwort in flower!!! Yesterday, August 9 2007, on Vargö. Usually it's underwater, flowering kleistogamously (with closed flowers) - and all you see is the seed capsules. The weather has evidently been just right: first lots of rain to get the mudwort well started in the shallow puddles, then enough wind and sunshine to dry them out. |
