Sycamore, Göteborg, April 14th, 2003
The sunny weather is back
Coltsfoot are everywhere, beginning to look
overgrown and tired.
The Whitlowgrass
is past the stage of solitary pioneers
peppering the ground with tiny white specks
here and there and there.
Some flowers, too
on the Hairy Bittercress
- though there's less of it
in the original S-weed patch
where grass is taking over. |
The Little Mouse-ear is also
not having a good S-weed year
but I have seen a few in flower.
Most spring flower S-weeds
seem to have had
their April turn on the web already.

Things are later this year
than any of the previous two s-weed years.
Though, when I think of it,
the Norway Maple was sprouting
at pretty much the same time as two years ago:
second week of March, or so.
I looked at the Sycamore fliers then
but: nothing
and nothing
...and then when I do find Sycamore sprouts
I let them wait for a week...
Anyway: here they are.
