I had noticed it was getting all black
but neglected for several weeks to take a sample
and today when I'd decided to do it
I had to dig in the raked-up pile
that was gone when I came back after grocery shopping.
Just luck?
or does it confirm my suspicion
there was more than one of the long-stalked tribe...
