Sallat i oktober och i mars

The crowned Garden Lettuce
in a surprising place
where I'd rather expect
hamburgers growing
or cans of beer -
because of the guys
using the basement there
for a bicycle repair shop.
Not the salad type...


The Prickly Lettuce
this year less lucky than last year
(a pity it was outside S-weed boundaries then).

Here by the fence
mingling with some Groundsel
but elsewhere mostly
lopped, chopped and weeded.
Not many chances for showing
its impressive compass leaves.
