Peach, Göteborg, October 2nd, 2002

Prunus persica
Persika

Eva Ekeblad, 2002

Having seen the Peach
a number of times at the landfill at Karholmen
(photo bottom right)
my eye was caught by red bark
and narrow leaves
though shoots of shrubbery
are something I usually neglect.

And since the stipules were not at all
as discernible as they should have been
a bit of digging was required.

I hope I didn't damage the root
too much
- would be a pity to have contributed
to what frost and bulldozers will bring
in their time.

Brought.
Just a week later.
