Tarweed Fiddleneck, Göteborg, May 16th 2002
seeds from the potted fiddleneck on my balcony
|
when
the frosts are well over
lawn mowing season begins
leaving
only a ruin left of the flowering shoot
of the last tarweed fiddleneck surviving outdoors
moreover
they mangled the forty
critically endangered chamomiles
(under National protection)
in the same careless move
just three days
after being informed of their presence
(scene of the crime shown to the left)
moreover:
through the botanist grapevine I hear
that their gardening consultants
were consulted in the matter
sceptic at first to my ID
but trusting the Good Name of MY advisor
they recommended that the Anthemis
be left in peace
This was no unwitting herbicide.
