another weed from the closest patches:
dry tufts in the nooks by the basement
green and growing
in the flowerbeds
between the paving stones at the foot of the house
in hedges
in the lawn
in cracks on the parking lot
three cheers for the chickweed!
This one is double size, to show the buds
(I wrote before I got really into the habit of magnification -
keeping track of small things while the world is shaking)
