Broad-leaved Willowherb, Göteborg, Mar 10th, 2001

This
may or may not be
the broad-leaved kind - but willowherb it is
(and yes, what grows there in June sports Broad-leaved characteristics)

Oy vey!
another case of my wishful thinking!
At first I gave this as Euphorbia peplus, petty spurge, writing:
The snow melts
lawns and flowerbeds around home re-emerge.

The upper left corner of the tulip bed on the hillock
is the only patch within my range
where I have spotted the petty spurge.
It vanished early,
but started spring before the latest snow.

Do you see the tiny dots of something greener, roughly in the center?

The willowherb is still there this year, 2002 - rosettes like the cities on a roadmap
2003 with the snow, I haven't seen them yet.
(Have I been looking?? - well, looking closely there are a couple of tiny ones under the dead leaves.)
