Not Pineappleweed (nor Flixweed): Stinking Chamomile

Anthemis cotula |
More S-weeds from the New lawn: a starter rosette of the Tumbling Mustard and a densely well-fed "Flixweed" on its way up. Groundsel and Chickweed (the Common ones) feature in the pic where the "Flixweed" is starring, and there's Mayweed (most likely Scentless) edging into the frame with the Mustard rosette. Unfortunately I didn't think of nipping off a small sample of the Mayweed for a detail comparison with the "Flixweed". Might add it later... I love the bristly look of the jagged Mustard leaves.

And so, comparing leaflets from
the so-called Flixweed, with those of Mayweed and Pineappleweed - and
with some from a very small mature plant of true, seed-carrying Flixweed:
I am not satisfied with my identification here. Will be back... This
S-weed is now potted.
Now, in the middle of December, there is the bud of a flowerhead.

NO "Flixweed" this, but something Asteraceous - in all likelihood a Pineappleweed, but if that is what it is, it's an idiosyncratic one....
In January I find a rosette of the true Flixweed. The first bud of the potted mystery plant wilted - but was replaced with another two... that eventually produced white rayflowers as well as yellow disk flowers. Scentless Mayweed? No... the whole plant is getting fragrant...

The Tumbling Mustard, on the other hand, is very respectable. Nothing wrong with THAT identification.
