Corn Mint, Göteborg, September 24th, 2001

Mentha arvensis
Åkermynta i juni och i juli

After two months the new lawn is green and in many patches dense. The report from a month ago told of Canada Thistle and Broad Dock resurfacing. There's Coltsfoot, one garland of Hedge Bindweed, other perennials as well. The Corn Mint was a little slower in returning, but by now it's coming along fine.

Pot Marigold, Göteborg, September 24th, 2001

Calendula officinalis
Ringblomma: juli, november,    juni, augusti

Eva Ekeblad, 2001

While the Mint resurfaces from the old soil bottom, other weeds have arrived with the new layer and lawn material: Goosefoot and Orache, Chickweeds and Spurry - the usual suspects, plus a few others, like the Marigold (and a couple of things I'm not sure of yet). The Marigold in the new lawn is only a rosette of leaves yet. The sample gone to seed is from the eloped children of the flowerbeds in my block.
