Sun Spurge, Göteborg, January 7th, 2002

In the new territory - Further along the Ditch - there is, compared to the Trimmer Patrolled domains around the Mall and in my block of Star Houses, an abundance of the season: many dried flower heads of plants that were allowed to grow to maturity.

This brittle January flower head caught my eye as I was looking for Sowthistles. Funny mode of branching... I soaked the dry wrinkled leaf stuff in warm tap water, and used the scanner as visual aid, as so often. THEN I recognized the Sun Spurge.
