Ribwort, Göteborg, January 12th, 2002

foggy days
west coast
gulf stream
winter

I reached down to nip the smallest of the three ribwort rosettes
and it's neighbour was pushed askew as my hand brushed by.
Somehow, they had all lost their moorings while still green.
Well, I have seen that with other things, too:
plants plucked by frost like with a pair of scissors at ground level.
