It doesn't show very well, but there is a glimpse of yellow petals in more than one of the buds. Other S-weeds that I see in January flower (closed, but yet flowers) include the Dandelion, the Pineappleweed, the Red Dead-nettle, the Common Field Speedwell, the Common Groundsel and the Common Chickweed. The Annual Meadowgrass is in a league by itself.
