Northern Red Dead-nettle   and   Yorkshire Fog

...and don't you think the city is having this patch, where the Dead-nettle's from, weeded once again - some authority must have decided for some reason to stamp out the Goosefoot paradise of last fall. It's not like all spots are tended like this...

Hah! I say to that in November.

Lamium moluccellifolium
Mellanrödplister i oktober, i januari och i november

Holcus lanatus
Luddtåtel i april

The Dead-nettle: Due to circumstances like
  small samples displayed
  difficulties of identification by .gif
and the developments concerning red Lamiae
what started as confertum
  became purpureum
  and even, briefly, hybridum
  - though never amplexicaule -
before returning to confertum for lack of a fifth
... and then upon the afterthought
of sixteen round months: moluccellifolium

The Hemp-nettle: a very small sample, compared to the ones that are not in flower yet. THOSE are a lot larger than the Dead-nettle above.

The Yorkshire Fog: it doesn't show in a .gif how soft it is.

With thanks to Erik Ljungstrand for sorting things out.
And this is when I celebrate the first anniversary
of my beautiful Gwennie four: without mylady Macintosh
these S-weeds growing in my cyberspace would be so much less
