Goat Rest-harrow, Göteborg, June 28th, 2001

Ononis arvensis
Stallört i januari, i maj, i september och i november

Eva Ekeblad, 2001

I had the Rest-harrow identified as Purple Loosestrife
in January and in May - not until I saw the first flowers
in patches outside my S-weed territory
did I realize my mistake. I have now changed the past.

This is from 2002 with love, to last year.
The edge by the road has been mown earlier,
there is even less trace of a path across the meadow
- and more of the Common Bent, this end.

Ground Ivy   and   Reed Canary-grass

Glechoma hederacea

Jordreva i april, i maj, i december och i februari

Phalaris arundinacea

Rörflen i februari,
i augusti och i november

In the second week of May, I collected Ground Ivy in a patch of the meadow, by the path to the bus stop - as the Ground Ivy behind the office buildings had had its flowers lawn mowed. There are still some flowers left on the scraggly plants in the same spot, hidden in the grass.
On the page for that day, there is a picture of the meadow from the same angle as today. The grass and reeds have grown some since then... The sky was just as blue yesterday as then - no: more. And today is almost as warm, in spite of a very brief, very light rain.
