Mousetail

Myosurus minimus
Råttsvans
i april, i april
och i maj

The Mousetail by the Flexline stop has finally succumbed to this week's thoroughness - after surviving first the spring cleaning in May and then some construction work on the borders of the flowerbed in the beginning of June: the cement border on the side where the minibus bumps into it exchanged for stone, the soil mucked about at random.

No room for grass today. This week the Göteborg City Weeding Patrol has been hard at work at Frölunda Torg. The shady "lawn" - dandelions, chickweed, and bristly grass - where the Stitchwort grows was first mown in the second week of June. Gone the white flowers.

The Mousetail in the corner was lost in that process, but there was one pretty sturdy sample still hiding under the bushes. Now gone.

In the other patch, by the Grimmered sign, I have lost sight of it. Today's scan is from the one growing in my teacup.
