cool white flowers on the bindweed growing among the grass, vetch and thistles of the bank rising from the ditch of the main road...
... but the other three are from over towards the mall:
- the goldenrod found, at last, on this bring-a-waterbottle day, on the other side of a hedge, off my usual path

- and the basil, which is more correctly a pink: another possible remainder of past days of cultivation in that, now blessedly untended, slope up towards the bus lights...
...where the hesperis passed as goldenrod until it bore flowers of magenta, turning, in time, too showy for its own safety: the sample above is the top of what remained today... don't know when it happened, and regret having missed to take a snap of it lately
