Yes, hay harvest in the Meadow continued today - sounds of the tractor in the morning. Later, walking across the stubble in a fragrance of cumarin and Tansy, wondering if the Melilot of yesterday will make another go at seed production, how the Bedstraw and the Bartsia will fare in the post-harvest season.
The Spearwort kept its head down, in the rut where it grows.

The Tansy grows in many other spots of the S-weed domain, still shining its bright yellow. There were fresh shoots of the Tansy more or less as soon as the March snow melted, then thick leafy tufts, then buttony buds - what's on this page for Tansy has been collected in May, June and July, the yellow flowers just four days ago, but other weeds have been somehow more urgent, the whole time.
There's Bartsia in some other spots, but it was sturdiest in the Meadow: I would have waited for a bit more flowers, if not for the harvest. The Northern Bedstraw I'm not sure I have seen anywhere else in the domain. And then there's my Mystery Weed... It's had a cutback, but it's still there.
