For these I have been looking and looking.
The Meadow Buttercup getting visually lost among the ubiquitous Creeping Buttercups of all shapes and persuasions - all with that stemmed middle lobe of the leaves which makes them different from this sample, taken at the margin of the ditch.

For the Fireweed I have kept an eye on the ground around the tall stand in the free-for-all parking lot across the street. In vain, so far - but at the other place, up by the bus lights, where I found a small plant with late-season flowers back in October there are now spring shoots.
