on the fifth side of the next building
where the pigeons have been fed all winter
several crisp shoots of sunflower
are by now a natural consequence

amongst the cigarrette butts and pigeon poo
yuk which will never be placed on my scanner



instead
for a touch of colour
(and a pun without extra pay)
