Before lawnmowing the Wild Onion/Crow Garlic has a head
start on the grass - it can be seen in tufts in this corner and
some other patches of the S-weed Domain. When the Season starts,
it's green amongst green, all the same length. Would take too much
crawling on all-fours to find it... tasting every blade of grass...
Today's mowing was all done with the big machine, so the patches of meadow saxifrage on the slope were spared, for the time being. The Sea Lavender, too.

The Cowslip from 2001 has been steadily expanding - from a single rosette to a small cluster. And I have found another small patch of escaped Cowslip a bit further on as well. This spring there were several flowering stalks to snatch away from under the snout of the mower.
The Tuberous Comfrey, which (small as it is) was coming along nicely with budding flowers, was rather badly mangled (couldn't save them all).
