It depends on where it grows, how it is faring these days of frost.

This sample is from the vicinity of the house.

By the mailboxes down at the mall, all the Sheperd's Purses are dry stalks with empty seed-cases - I tried to capture one with hoarfrost on it, there was a fog this morning that came down in frost. I did pick a couple of strands and the frost kept all the way home - until the moment I entered the house.

What did I expect??
